I stayed here for a couple of nights with my family, and while the location was very convenient with shops and restaurants close by, the experience was not without its challenges. The room needed better cleanliness, as it wasn't up to the standard I've come to expect from hotels in this chain. However, the staff were genuinely friendly and did their best to make my stay pleasant, and the breakfast options were decent although could benefit from more variety. The nearby attractions made our visit worthwhile despite the room issues.

We encountered serious issues with our room accommodations. Despite informing the staff about requiring a first-level room for my handicap brother, we were shuffled around three different rooms. On one occasion, we faced a backed-up toilet filled with dirty water. The entire experience left us feeling utterly frustrated and dissatisfied.

The location of this Hampton Inn in Goldsboro is fantastic, with Walmart and several restaurants like Applebee's within a short walking distance. The room was tidy, and the bed felt comfortable, which made it easier to relax after a long day. Parking was easy to find, and the complimentary breakfast had a nice variety. I particularly enjoyed the big television in the room. However, my experience was somewhat dampened due to the hotel being right next to the train tracks. I woke up early in the morning when the train passed by, which disrupted my sleep. The elevator ride left something to be desired too. it felt a bit bumpy and unstable, which was concerning. Also, the breakfast area seemed to lack proper supervision, as it was messy in the mornings, and I didn’t see staff attending to it. These aspects made my stay less enjoyable than it could have been.
